Happy Sunday everyone 🙂
I am so excited to share this post with all of you, but super especially with my Wintertime Surprise Project partner DreamTimeMakes! I am completely overwhelmed with her creativity, generosity, and genuine awesomeness. Thank you ever so much.
If you don’t know about the project, then check out #wintertimesurpriseproject on instagram or twitter, and marvel in the sharing that has been going on around the UK, and around the world this weekend. And make sure you keep an eye on the Surprise Project website so you can get involved next time. And thanks to Capture By Lucy for organising – I’m sure it was a logistical nightmare 🙂
Now, on to the amazing parcel I had the joy of opening this morning…
I don’t know how she managed to make or buy all of this and come in on budget, but I’m incredibly grateful she did!
The wrapping was absolutely beautiful – I especially love the little transparent tags she used to give a little hint about what was inside each adorable parcel.
But what was inside?
So. Much. Amazing.
I can’t share every single thing in detail, or I would be here an awfully long time, but I will highlight a few of my favourite things. Because I’m in love with them.
This little notebook is beyond perfect. It has been covered by images that incorporate my love of travel – and especially my time spent in the USA. She has obviously done her research – I’m fairly sure I didn’t mention this in my Wintertime Surprise Project sign up details, and so she must have visited this blog to find out more about me. It really shows how much of a star she is!
I will use it to plan my next American trip 🙂
My extreme love of baking was also featured, with this adorable tiny grater being a highlight! I have a weird obsession with small versions of big things (me and Katie had an argument in IKEA once over me wanting to buy shot glass versions of the IKEA milkshake glasses – they are still sat unused in the kitchen cupboard somewhere).
Also note the hand-made square oven-mitt it is resting on. Love it.
Not only did DreamTimeMakes send me these two adorable little recipe books from two of the UK’s biggest food icons, she also sent me her own favourite recipe for still lemonade and a wooden lemon juicer to help the process along. I will definitely be making this when the weather gets a little warmer – I can’t get enough of home-made lemonade.
And she also included gifts relating to my greatest love – Harry Potter. The bracelet pictured on the right is handmade, and in the Slytherin colours (my house). Plus, she created this cute as a button terrarium, which includes things you might find in the Forbidden Forest. That tiny toadstool is a delight!
As you will see from the picture at the top, there were tonnes of other treasures in there too – a lot of which were hand made. It must have taken ages to curate this parcel, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been paired up with easily the best partner I could have hoped for! Whoever gets DreamTimeMakes for the next surprise project will be extremely lucky (and I will be very jealous!).
So thank you again, and I hope you all enjoyed opening your gifts this weekend.
Normal blog service will be resumed on Monday – anyone for Chocolate Cupcakes?
So glad you liked. The lemonade is also good with honey n the winter. ?
Katy
That sounds delicious 🙂 Might have to venture out of the house and find some lemons ASAP!
